At Vention we develop products and solutions for our customers. We develop a wide range of technical products in many different fields. Our products range from smart mousetraps to revolutionary medical devices to cure previously unhealable wounds, and everything in between! For our products, our embedded software engineers create custom algorithms that run on the self-built electronics built by our hardware engineers. These products often feature a combination of wireless connectivity and sensor technology and we design most products from start to finish; from conceptual sketches to (mass) production. We work together with our clients to turn their dreams into reality, rather than doing it for them. In doing so, we combine the customer’s domain-specific expertise with our own technical expertise, resulting in an efficient and close collaboration with innovative, state of the art end products. Our team consists of ambitious engineers with a great passion for technology. Even though we’re not a start-up anymore, we still have the easy going, friendly start-up mentality. The Challenge

We are looking for someone who can help us with our project management. This role consists of having extensive contact with our customers and colleagues to guide a project from start to finish, and make sure everything runs smoothly. Our engineers have more than enough technical knowledge, so we don’t need you to have deep technical knowledge. We do require you to have at least affinity and a certain understanding of the IoT technology. Your role will consist of having meetings with new and existing customers in various stages of the product development process, (partially) writing quotations, determining the budget, planning and requirements, and communicating with both the customer and the team.

Furthermore you will be responsible for:

• Carefully putting together the project teams and monitoring and adjusting the effectiveness and efficiency of these teams and their working methods (resource planning)
• The initial definition of an action or project plan, including the conditions and objectives set
• Planning and controlling the capacity, costs and budgets within the project in relation to the agreed milestones and objectives
• Supporting the Technical Lead in drawing up a detailed plan for the technical execution of the project.
• Managing and supporting the project team members, including defining and dividing the tasks and responsibilities within the project
• Being thoroughly involved in the project from the very start until the very end. You will be the main point of contact for the customer and our project team, which requires that you have clear communication skills.
• Monitoring the quality of the input and output of the project

You should recognize yourself in the following:

• Flexible and able to organically move with the constantly changing world of product development
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in project management, product development
• Independent and able to manage both yourself and others
• Experience in leading a team
• Take responsibility
• Not being afraid to come up with your own ideas and being assertive
• Strong communication skills
• Structured and well organized way of working
• A fondness to transfer your affinity for innovative technology to others
• Wanting to help Vention take the next step
• Affinity with technology
• Enjoy thinking about technical challenges and developing innovative products for customers
• Fluent in Dutch & English
